Serving as an overview of the eclectic guitarist's fifty-year career, Beck started with newer material, Loaded, Hammerhead, all featuring blistering lead work that appeared effortless. Then the red jacket is tossed on the floor and Beck is joined by old pal, Jimmy Hall for Morning Dew and Hendrix’ Little Wing, then headed to church for A Change Is Gonna Come.

He is handed a succession of white strats and effortlessly switches styles, from old fusion Goodbye Porkpie Hat to an Arabic accented Yemin. Later came Don Nix’ Goin’ Down and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, both harken back to the days of Beck Bogert and Appice. Always a master of interpretation, Beck’s set featured songs by a wide variety of artists, and many appear on his latest album, Live+.

He closed up shop with the blues by way of Rollin’ And Tumblin’.  Not quite Live At Ronnie Scott’s, but truly wired throughout.
